Why should accidents be reported
Can see what went wrong and how to prevent future occurrences by improving safety standards

Why does exposure to infections need to be reported
So that procedures can be put in place to control it and reduce the likelihood of it spreading

can consult the COSHH file to understand how to deal with it

Why do intruders need to be reported
They are a person that is not authorised to be in the settings
Can understand how they were able to enter the setting and what can be put in place to prevent it in the future
May be a result of staff not following correct procedures- implementing more training
Why does a fire need to be reported
To raise the alarm
Evacuate building as fast as possible
Ring fire brigade so it can be put out ASAP and reduce any risk of harm and damage
Why do other critical incidents need to be reported
They are likely to be very high risk so must inform police etc for potential events to reduce the harm caused
What are the 3 Ps of a first aider
Preserve life
Prevent further injury
Promote recovery
