What are the roles of employers?
-Ensure compliance with the health and safety legislation and to provide a safe place to work eg training and safe equipment.
What are the roles of employees?
Use safe working practices to maintain their own safety.
What are the roles of the NHS?
-To provide environments that are secure and are healthy to work in and to visit. They must provide staff training and supervision to be able to work safely.
What are the roles of the local authorities?
Promote: provide guidance and raise awareness of health and safety by providing information about the roles and responsibilities.
Enforce: carry out inspections and make recommendations for any improvements.
What are the responsibilities of employers?

-All staff are aware of their responsibilities

Telling employer immediately if there are any hazards

What are the responsibilities of individuals who require care and support?
-Taking part in fire drills
-Reporting any hazards
-Co-operating with safety instructions
