A

PTC

  • jaundice
  • pre-op exam of biliary tract

ERCP

  • If clinical image findings indicate abnormality
  • Removal of stones in ducts
  • Placement of stent in CBD

Post-op cholangiography (T-tube cholangiography)

A

-T-shaped tube left in CBD at operation

Purpose is to demonstrate

  • calibre and patency of ducts
  • Sphincter of hepatopancreatic ampulla status

-injection of CM into tube to look at bile flow
