Traditional Literature

Legends
Refers to a traditional narrative, often rooted in historical fact, that recounts the deeds, adventures, or events associated with a particular figure, group, or place.
Folktale
refers to a traditional narrative or story that has been passed down orally through generations within a culture.
Fairy Tale
A children’s book that tells a story about magical and imaginary beings and land
Cumulative Tale
Story that uses repetition and rhythm to build up action or dialogue as the story progresses
Humorous Tale
A book that is funny or comical events or scenes that are intended to make the reader laugh
Beast Tale
Narrative in verse or prose that features animal characters that act like humans, but usually without a moral

Tall Tales
A story that is told as if it were true , but contains unbelievable elements and exaggerations

a genre that focuses on real life situations using realistic characters
Fables
a fictitious story usually intended to tell a story with the use of animals with human-like features or interactions
Sacred Stories
A spiritual or religious narrative important within specific cultures
Parables
a short story portraying/illustrating a spiritual truth

a visual design that is to be interpreted to convey emotions, meaning, and art
