What is the sponge city concept?
An approach to urban water management that aims to enhance infiltration, evapotranspiration, and capturing and reuse of stormwater in the urban environment. The goal is to restore the city’s capacity to absorb, infiltrate, store, purify, drain, and manage rainwater and regulate the water cycle as much as possible to mimic the natural hydrological cycle.
Four categories of conditions that influence boundary spanning behaviour.
Environmental characteristics: environmental uncertainty, dependency, dynamics, organized relationships
Organizational support and feedback: management/coworkers/organizational feedback and support
Role definition and role stressors: function/role
Individual determinants: personal characteristics
