What is external conflict?
When a character struggles against some outside force Example: This force may be another character or society as a whole or a storm or a grizzly bear or even a machine.
What is a conflict?
A struggle or clash between opposing characters or opposing forces.
What is internal conflict?
It takes place in the character’s mind. It is the struggle between opposing needs, desires, or emotions.
What is the plot?
It is what happens in a story. Plot consists of a series of related episodes, one growing out of another.
What is suspense?
It is a feeling of anxious curiosity.
What is the climax of the story?
It is the story’s most emotional moment. This is the point where the conflict is decided on one way or another.
What is the resolution of a story?
Its is the last part of a story. This is where the loose ends of the story are tied up and the story is closed.
What is a theme?
The theme is the main idea of the story, the discovery about life that we take away from the reading.
What is a symbol?
Is a person, place, or thing that has meaning in itself and stands for something beyond itself as well.
