Antagonist
A charged tee or force in conflict with the main character of a literary work
Character
A person or animal that takes part in the action
Flat character
One sided and often stereotypical
Round character
Fully developed and exhibits many traits, often both faults and virtues
Dynamic character
One who changes or grows during the course of the book
Static character
One who doesn’t change
Major character
Most important in story
Minor character
One who takes part in the action but is not the main focus
Conflict
Struggle between two opposing forces

Dialogue
A conversation between characters that’s set off by quotation marks to indicate the speakers exact words
Dialect
Features unique to the way a person speaks

Conveys meaning that is opposite to what you are expecting
