Setting
The time & place in which a story occurs
Character Attributes
The physical & personality traits of a character
Plot
The novel/story’s sequential events ad actions
Theme
The main idea(s) of the story/novel that is often repeated; a unifying idea that is reoccurring throughout the story/novel (e.g., family, hope, self-discovery, etc.)
Characters
The story/novel’s personalities (usually people or animals)
Conflict
A struggle of mmotions/feelings within a character or between characters
Climax
A story’s high point; the decisive/critical moment in a story/novel
Resolution
The solution or outcome of the conflict/problem in the story/novel
Moral of the Story
The main lesson(s) contained in the novel/story
Narrator
The person or character telling the story (e.g., first person, second person, third person)
Time
The time period in which the story/novel occurs (modern, 1900s, 1800s, etc.)
Place
The location in which the story/novel occurs (country, city, town, etc.)
Physical Traits
Traits that are visible to the eye (e.g., hair color, eye color, race, build, etc.)
Personality Traits
The traits that characterized a character (e.g., curious, happy, smart, sad, etc.)
