Imagery
An image is a word or group of words, which creates a sense impression in the mind (mental picture)
Symbol
Something that stands for something else;
Irony
A device in which a writer expresses a meaning contradictory to the state or ostensible one
Types or irony?
Verbal irony

What is verbal irony?
When attitude of the writer or speaker is the opposite to that is literally stated
What is dramatic irony?
When the reader or audience knows more about, what one of the characters is saying when the other characters in the work
What is situational irony?
When a set of circumstances turns out to be the reverses of those anticipated or considered appropriate
What is a archetype?
Are universal symbols. They are symbols that reoccur through works, more more commonly in mythological literature. For example, water representing the mystery of creation, or the sun representing creative energy.
What is a plot line?
The arrangement of incidents whereby character is revealed, and suspense, climax, and resolution are achieved
What is the style?
The authors characteristics way of expressing himself; language, direction or choice of words, arranging words in patterns to effect a rhythm and order that will convey particular meanings and will evoke particular responses.
What is tone?
The authors attitude, his relaxation ship to his materials or to his audience or both

Details: language: this term describes the characteristics of the bossy of words used: terms like slang, scholarly, and jargon denote language.
