The sequence of events that takes place in a selection:
Introduction- learning about the characters,Setting and also about the conflict in the story
Rising Action-Conflicts leading up to the climax
Climax- The greatest emotional impact
Falling Action-Events that occur after the climax
Resolution- Outcome the conflict
Setting
- Where and When it takes place
- The mood of the selection
Conflict
The struggle that takes place in a section
Internal Conflict- Conflict within the mind of the character
External Conflict- A conflict between character and a outside force
Characters
Primary-Main Characters
i) Protagonist- The good guys
ii)Antagonist- The Bad guys
Secondary- Lesser importance
Character believability- How believably this character is ? how realistic is this character
Mood
The way the reader feels toward the selection
Theme
The Message or the moral of the story
Point of veiw
First Person- Character is actually telling the story
Second Person- A Narrator is telling the story
Third Person- Using Outside Voices
Pathos
Using Sad emotions the reader feels for the character
Irony
The opposite of the literal meaning
Dramatic- Reader notices the mistakes of the characters
Verbal-The writer says one thing but means another
Situation- great differences, between the purpose of a particular action and. The result
Symbolism
Object that represents something that has a special meaning
