EX: Loud cafeteria, a child’s voice at a playground

Listening to encourage and to identify with.
EX: Counselor, a friend failed a test
CRITICAL LISTENING
Used to analyze evaluate a message for logic and value.
EX: Class lecture, car sales pitch
