Definition: The form was often used by poets and composers from the 18th century onwards to produce lyrics.
Example: the word is usually referred to in music
Ballad
Definition: the act or process of giving reasons for or against something.
Example: couples go through a lot of these
Argumentation
Definition: not merely a summary of a literary work. Instead, it is an argument about the work that expresses a writer’s personal perspective, interpretation, judgment, or critical evaluation of the work.
Example: in other words, the authors opinion.
Literary analysis
Definition: Style in literature is the literary element that describes the ways that the author uses words — the author’s word choice, sentence structure, figurative language, and sentence arrangement all work together to establish mood, images, and meaning in the text.
Examples: the authors choice of text and use of words in a story
Style (literary)
Definition: the combining of the constituent elements of separate material or abstract entities into a single or unified entity (opposed to analysis, ) the separating of any material or abstract entity into its constituent elements.
Example: a research paper, or bringing two pieces of information together.
