S/S: Fever, malaise, skin lesions, reactivation if the virus can produce extremely painful skin rash known as shingles.

Herpes Simplex 1 and 2
S/S: Herpes Simplex 1 creates painful, itchy skin lesions on the lips, malaise, fever, muscle pain, one eye can experience a gritty feeling, pain, sensitivity to light, and can lead to blindness. Both can cause an inflamed blister called a whitlow if HHV-1 or 2 enters a cut or break in the skin of a finger.
