Borderline high: 110–129 mg/dL (2.84–3.33 mmol/L)
High: ≥130 mg/dL (≥3.36 mmol/L)
Normal HDL cholesterol
Adults
low (men), <40 mg/dL (<1.03 mmol/L);
low (women), <50 mg/dL (<1.29 mmol/L)
Optimal: 60mg/dl or more
Formula to calculate LDL
Friedewald formula
LDL = TC – HDL – (TGs/5)
The four statin benefit groups
(1) patients with clinical ASCVD - High intensity
(2) adult patients with LDL‐C ≥4.9 mmol/L (190 mg/dL) - High intensity
(3) patients aged 40 to 75 years with diabetes mellitus and LDL‐C levels 1.8 to 4.9 mmol/L (70–189 mg/dL) - Moderate or High intensity
(4) patients with an estimated 10‐year ASCVD risk ≥7.5% and LDL‐C levels 1.8 to less than 4.9 mmol/L (70–189 mg/dL; primary prevention) - Based on clinical decision
