Cat 2 - 100’ disengage
Auto pilot and FD modes are approved for angles of 2.5° to 4°
Engine failure, disengage, trim the aircraft, then re engage

37

  • must be turned off no later than 800’AAE

-when ice accumulation is no longer detected continue to operate the boots for two complete cycles which is 2min

50
Q

Taking off in icing conditions.

A

Oil temps must be a minimum of 55°C prior to takeoff (you’ll get in the takeoff roll)
-otherwise, oil temps must reach 55°C prior to entering icing conditions for the first 3 minutes after takeoff, after that oil temps must be 65°C or above when flying in icing conditions.

4 Low oil pressure
5 Flameout
A

1 - low torque, High RPM, Normal oil pressure
2- High torque, low RPM, Normal oil pressure
3- Initially low torque, high RPM, normal oil pressure; then AUPC turns it into an overspeed condition
4- high torque, low RPM, low or no oil pressure, maybe oil pressure warning light
5 - no torque, low RPM, no oil pressure

54
Q
Start malfunctions:
1 Select light remains illuminated
2 No starter cutout
3 Hot start
4 Hung start
5 No light off
A

1 call “starter failure on ground QRH”
2 call “No starter cutout QRH”
3 Fuel flow is higher, ITT increases rapidly call “Aborted Engine Start QRC”
4 NH stalls, oil pressure stays in caution, FF is excessive, call “Aborted Engine start QRC”
5 No rise in EGT, Fadec shuts off FF 16 seconds after fuel is introduced “Aborted Engine start QRC”
