Limitations Flashcards
Max Flap Extension Altitude
20,000 Ft. Pressure altitude
Speed Brake lever Limitation
Do not extend in flight beyond the flight detent
Flight Control Limitations
Avoid rapid and large alternating control inputs, especially in combination with large changes in pitch, roll, or yaw as they ma result in structural failure at any speed, including below VA
Holding in icing conditions
Prohibited with flaps extended
Landing with Flaps 15
normal landings are prohibited, but only allowed when required by a non normal procedure.
Maximum Take off EGT
950 degrees C

Maximum Operating Altitude
41,000 ft.
Minimum Runway Width
98 feet or 30 meters
Flight Deck Door Access System
Verify that an operational check of the flight deck door access system has been accomplished once each flight day
Passenger Evacuation with one or more occupants in cabin
all entry door evacuation slide system must be armed and engagement of the girt bar with door sill verified prior to taxi, takeoff, or landing
Passenger Evacuation with no occupants in cabin
only the two forward escape slide retantaion bars much be installed during taxi, takeoff, and landing
prohibited Use of HF radios:
during refueling
Cabin Altitude Briefing
First flight of the day or changes of flight crew members: PIC shall ensure the cabin altitude warning indications and procedures are briefed in accordance with SOP
Engine Anti-Ice System use
On during all ground and flight operations when Icing Conditions exist or anticipated, except during climb and cruise when SAT is below -40 degrees c.
Must also be on prior to and during descent in icing conditions including temps. below -40 degrees c.
Wing Anti-ice system use
Do not use Wing anti-ice as a sub. for ground deicing
Do not operate wing anti-ice on the ground when OAT is above 10 degrees C.
Use of aileron trim
Prohibited with autopilot engaged
Engage of the autopilot after takeoff
Prohibited below 400 ft. agl.
Single channel operation during app., Autopilot shall not remain engaged below:
50 feet agl.
Use of Thrust reverses is prohibited when:
in flight
Reduced thrust procedures in prohibitive when:
Contaminated runway, anti skid inop., EEC is in alternate mode, prob. of windshear
Deployment of the speed brakes in flight is prohibited:
at radio alt. less than 1,000 ft.
Fuel Pump Circuit Breaker Limitation
Do not reset
Maximum Fuel Temp.
49 degrees C
Minimum fuel temp.
Fuel freeze point of the fuel being uses +3 degrees c or -43 degrees C which ever is higher
The on position of the Center fuel pump switches must not be used for ground operation unless:
center tank fuel quantity exceeds 1000 pds. (453kgs.) except when defueling or transferring fuel.
Center Fuel pump switches must not be on to fuel APU unless:
personnel are available in the flight deck to monitor low pressure lights
Operation with assumed Temp. reduced takeoff is not permited:
when anti skid is inop
APU Bleed Air and Electrical Load Limitations

APU bleed, maximum altitude is 17,000 ft
APU electrical load, maximum altitude 41,000
Do not use LVL CHG when?
on final approach below 1000ft. agl.
