Red light
Stop
solid double red light and single red light
stop
right turn at red light
unless a sign prohibits the turn, a driver may turn right at a red light after stopping completely before the stop line or cross walk if the turn can be made safely after yielding to other traffic.
left turn at red light
unless a sign prohibits the turn, the only left turn permitted at a red light is onto one-way street from a one-way street. This turn is only permitted after the vehicle is brought to a complete stop before the stop line or crosswalk and if the turn can be made safely after yielding to other traffic.
Yellow light
Warning that light will change to red immediately and drivers must prepare to stop or clear the intersection.
yellow light at intersection
1) complete stop before the stop line or crosswalk. 2)If no stop line or crosswalk, vehicles stop before the intersection. 3)If already in the intersection and facing a yellow light must safely clear the intersection.
green light
go unless yielding to oncoming traffic or to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
yield
Yield means let other road users go first. A yield sign assigns the right-of-way to traffic in certain intersections. If you see a yield sign ahead, be prepared to let other drivers crossing your road take the right-of-way
green solid with green arrow
driver may enter the intersection without yielding in the direction indicated by the arrow and any other directions when it is safe
red solid with green arrow
driver can enter the intersection indicated by the arrow, but only that intersection
flashing red light
stop
4-way stop
flashing red on every lane
flashing yellow
driver proceed with caution after yielding to pedestrians and other cars when entering an intersection
flashing green
driver may proceed without stopping but must yield to pedestrians and other cars on the intersection
