Check that the braking lights are working.
Back up against a wall and take a look in the mirror to see if all the brake lights are on. Another solution is to place the warning triangle cover on the brake pedal and push the seat tight, so that the cover is pressed on the brake pedal. Then you can go behind the car and see if the brake lights works. If the brake lights do not light up, it could be a blown fuse or a broken light bulb.
If you have a passenger with you, get them to help you.
Is it safe to drive with no working brake lights?
It is prudent to drive carefully to the nearest car workshop.
Check if the hazard lights are working.
The hazard light is the button with the red triangle. Press the button and walk around the car to check that all the hazard lights are working. The hazard lights must only be used in conjunction with parking lights or no lights at all.
