Blackout
Suddenly switching all the lights off
Cross fade
Fading lights out on one area of the stage while simultaneously bringing them up on another.
Cues
Instructions indicating when a change in lighting or sound can occur

Special lighting such as strobes or using lighting to recreate headlights, lightening, fires or other unusual lighting.
