Check the tubing for any damage

Why is the ‘base’ of the Bunsen burner wide

This is where the gas mixes with the air before it is burnt
What is the hose
It is the pipe that brings the gas to the Bunsen burner from the gas tap
What does the nozzle or jet do
It release the gas in a thin stream so it can be burnt
