Where does the iliolumbar ligament origin and insert?
Transverse process of fifth lumbar vertebra to inner lip of iliac crest
Which ligaments supports the sacroilliac joint?
Anterior, posterior and interosseous sacroiliac ligament
Where does the anterior sacroiliac ligament origin and insert?
lateral part of sacrum to margin of the auricular surface of ilium
Where does the posterior sacroiliac ligament origin and insert?
transverse tubercle of sacrum to iliac tuberosity and posterior superior spine of ilium
Where does the interosseous sacroiliac ligament origin and insert?
It lies deep to the posterior sacroiliac ligament (transverse process of sacrum -> iliac tuberosity and post. sup. spine)
Where does the sacrotuberous ligament origin and insert?
from the lower transverse tubercles of sacrum to iliac tuberosity and ischial tuberosity
Where does the sacrospinous ligament origin and insert?
From the lower transverse tubercle of sacrum to ischial spine
Where does the iliofemoral ligament origin and insert?
ant. inf. iliac spine and iliac part of acetabular margin to intertrochanteric line and front of greater trochanter
What does the iliofemoral ligament do?
Resist hyperextention and lateral rotation at the hip joint
Where does the ischiofemoral ligament origin and insert?
ischial portion of acetabular rim to medial neck of femur and base of greater trochanter
What does the ischiofemoral ligament do?
Limits extension and medial rotation of the thigh
Where does the pubofemoral ligament origin and insert?
pubic portion of acetabular rim and superior pubic ramus to lower part of femoral neck
What does the pubofemoral ligament do?
Limits extension and abduction
Where does the round ligament of head of femur origin and insert?
margin of the acteabular notch and transverse acetabular ligament to fovea for round ligament of head of femur

front of intercondylar eminence (posterior to medial) to the posterior end of interconylar eminence (anterior to medial)
What does the meniscus do?
Works as shock absorbers and lubricates the articular surfaces
Where does the transverse ligament (of knee joint) origin and insert?
Anterior end of lateral menisci to anterior end of medial menisci
What is the fuction of the transverse ligament? (knee)
binds menisci together
what does the tibial collateral ligament do?
Prevents medial displacement of the two long bones and abduction of the leg at the knee
Where does the tibionavicular ligament origin and insert, and what is the function?
medial malleolus to navicular tubercle, prevents overeversion of the foot and help maintaining the medial longitudinal arch
What does the fibular collateral ligament do?
limits extension and adduction of the knee

Apex of patella to tibial tuberosity, it holds the patella in place
