creating sperm, matures for 50 days then released into epididymis
epididymis
immature sperm is released from testicle into tubes, matures in epididymis for 2 weeks
vas deferens
sperm is stored ready for ejaculation
seminal vesicles
produces glucose rich fluid mixing with sperm giving energy to help sperm move
prostate gland
produces liquid which mixes with seminal fluid and sperm helping provide energy and keeping sperm alive
penis
used for sexual intercourse
urethra
transports semen out during ejaculation
ovaries
eggs are present (don’t mature until puberty)
fallopian tube
when ovum mature they are released into fallopian tubes for mensural cycle
uterus
as ovum matures endometrium (wall of uterus) thickens with blood and nutrients providing place for egg to develop
cervix
endometrium will shed through cervix if ovum isn’t fertilized
