What are life processes?
Basic essential activities performed by an organism to live.
What is nutrition?
The process to transfer a source of energy from outside the body to the inside is nutrition
What is respiration?
The process of acquiring oxygen to break down food sources is respiration.
What is transportation?
Food and oxygen are taken up at all parts of the body through a process known as transportation
What is excretion?
Waste-by products need to be removed from the body by a process called excretion
How do cramps occur?
It occurs due to the build up of lactic acid in our muscles.
How do multicellular organisms remove wastes ?
By simple diffusion from the body surface into the surrounding water.
What is the purpose of urine?
The purpose of making urine is to filter out waste products from the blood.
What is the basic filtration unit in the kidneys?
it is a cluster of very thin-walled blood capillaries.
Why can we control the urge to urinate?
The bladder is muscular, so it is under nervous control as a result, we can usually control the urge to urinate.
