A pressure group focusing on a single issue.
What is a multi-cause group?
Pressure group that seek to influence policy & decisions over a range of issues
E.g trade unions
What is a protective group?
A pressure group seeking to protect the interests of their members
E.g British Medical Association who speak on behalf of doctors
What is a promotional group?
Pressure group that promote views to members & other interested parties on a particular topic
E.g Greenpeace with environmental issues
What is an insider status group?
Pressure group with ability to discuss, meet & be consulted by those it wish to influence.
What is an outsider status group?
Pressure group that doesn’t have access to decision makers & isn’t consulted or directly involved in discussion.
