What was Brown vs board of education?
A girl had to walk 6 blocks to then get the bus when there was a all white school 7 blocks away so the dad fought for desegregation in the schools, had many support from other parents.
What was the result in Brown vs board?
Succesful and desegregation was to happen across America although they did not give a strict time period so some southern states did not follow along.
What happened to Emmet Till?
A women accused him of flirting with her so her (white) brother and a freind Kidnapped him and brutally beat him up.
Why was Emmet tills funeral open casket?
So the new and media could see what had horribly happened to him.
What happened to the people who murdered Emmet till?
They were freed of kidnapping charges and therefore were apparentally not responsible for his death.
Who was Orval faubus?
Governer of a state school in arkansas who tried to stop black children attending the school.
What did Eisenhower do to make sure the black children could go to school?
He escorted them with the national guard.
What was the montgomery bus boycott?
Many Black people refused to take the bus and since a large population of montgomery was black then the bus company had no choice but to desegregate the buses.
