  1. 2.1.1 Unless specifically authorized by the GCAA, no person may act as pilot in command or in any other capacity as a required pilot flight crewmember of a civil aircraft of United Arab Emirates registry unless he/she has in his/her personal possession a valid pilot license issued to him/her under these Regulations, or a UAE validation of his/her foreign license, and appropriate to the duties to be performed by that person.
  2. 2.1.2 The issuance of a license by the GCAA permits the holder of a license to exercise only the privileges granted by that license.
  3. 2.1.3 The GCAA may suspend, vary or refuse to grant any license or rating issued under these Regulations
