What are the control methods for lice?
- Elimite (permethrin) with family members treated simultaneously
- Wash all clothes/linens @ 37.8 C (100F) or higher
- wash all brushes/combs with hot water and soap
- avoid common articles of personal hygiene
Why should you wash all clothing and linens in 37.8 C or higher if you contracted lice?
Because it greatly reduces eggs from hatching
