Where did this happen?
A
The floods happened in Pakistan which is in Southern Asia. Its bordering contries are Iran to the west, Afghanistan to the northwest and north, China to the northeast, and India to the east and southeast.

A
Damaged infrastructure e.g. roads, bridges, and railways
Outbreak of water-borne diseases e.g. cholera
Approximately 1,700 people died
20% of Pakistan’s cropland flooded – 200,000 cattle died

How and why (Causes) did it
happen?
A
Building settlements on flood plains. Impermeable urban surfaces.
Heavy monsoon rain – over 300mm in 24 hours. The most rain in 80 years!
