the vocabulary system of a language.
Semantics
the study of meaning how it is created within texts.
Determiner
positioned in front of nouns. eg. the, an, a.
Preposition
shows relation in terms of time and place. eg. in, at, by, on.
Nouns
Proper Noun
names of people or places. eg. London, Paris, Emily.
Abstract Noun
refers to states, and feelings - no physical existence. eg. pain, happiness.
Concrete Noun
objects with physical existence. eg. table, furniture.
Pronouns
Personal Pronoun
I, you, she, they. (first, second and third person)
Possessive Pronoun
my, his, our, their.
Reflexive Pronoun
myself, himself, and themselves.
Demonstrative Pronoun
this, these, that, those.
Relative Pronoun
who, whom, which.
Verbs
Material Processes
actions or events. eg. hit, run, hold, eat.
Relational Processes
states of being. eg. be, appear, seem.
Mental Processes
perception, thought. eg. think, speak, believe.
Dynamic Verbs
change in state over time. eg. paint, remove, eat.

the situation remains constant. eg. love, hold, believe.

Comparative -

Temporal -

Enumeration -
firstly, then, and finally.
Summative -
