Q

Work out the mechanical advantage for a load of 200 and an effort of 100?

A

Mechanical advantage= load over effort

200 divided by 100 which is 2

This can also be written as 2:1

Q

How do we work out mechanical advantage for a distance between load and fulcrum of 2m and a distance between effort and fulcrum of 6m ?

A

6 divided by 2 which is 3

So
