ATOM
The smallest unit of matter that forms a chemical element, an element that exist on its own.
MOLECULE
A group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. Example: H2O, CO2.
CELLS
the basic structural and functions unit of any living thing. The first βlivingβ level of Organisation.
TISSUES
Combination of cells that performs a specific function. 4 types of tissues: epithelial, connective, nervous and muscle,.
ORGAN
Combination/collective of tissues that work together for a specific outcome/function. Example: lungs, stomach, etc.
SYSTEMS
A group/combination of organs that work/function together to perform a specific outcome. Example: respiratory system.
ORGANISM
A living thing- combinations of all systems that make up an organism.
