Exempt
Definition: Not having to do something that others have to do.
Example: He was exempt from the test because he was sick.
Halfway through
Definition: In the middle of something.
Example: We are halfway through the project and should finish by Friday.
Honest
Definition: Telling the truth and not lying.
Example: She is always honest and never hides the truth.
Honor
Definition: Great respect or recognition for someone’s actions.
Example: It was an honor to meet the president.
In debt
Definition: Owing money to someone or an organization.
Example: He is in debt because he borrowed money to buy a car.
Look forward to
Definition: To be excited about something that will happen.
Example: I look forward to my vacation next month.
Look over
Definition: To quickly check or review something.
Example: I’ll look over your homework before we submit it.
Make an effort
Definition: To try hard to do something.
Example: She made an effort to finish her work before the deadline.
On purpose
Definition: Doing something intentionally, not by accident.
Example: He spilled the water on purpose to get attention.
Pace yourself
Definition: To control your speed or effort so you don’t get tired too quickly.
Example: You should pace yourself during the marathon to finish strong.
