Lesson 7 - Doctrine of Sola Fide Flashcards
Definition of Sola Fide
We are forgiven our sins and counted righteousness in God’s sight solely by trusting in Christ.
Why is the doctrine of Sola Fide called the “material principle” of the Reformation?
Material Principle is the central doctrine up for discussion. It was the core gospel issue that was at stake: How do we get right with God? by faith alone or by faith in something else.
Catholic = Faith + Works = Justification
Reformed: Faith = Justification + Works
What biblical passages teach sola fide?

Notitia: General knowledge of the content of the gospel
