A character that undergoes significant internal (inside) change throughout a story.
Dynamic Character-
A character that remains essentially unchanged in personality and outlook throughout a story.
Static character
A person who actively opposes or is hostile to someone or something.
Antagonist
The main character in a story or literary work, and is often the character who drives the action of the plot.
Protagonist
Internal (inside) feelings that drives individuals to engage in goal-directed behavior.
Motivation
Intention
It’s something you mean to do, whether you pull it off or not.
Where two or more characters have opposing goals, beliefs, needs, or desires that cause them to clash.
Character VS. Character
Conflict that occurs when a character faces opposition from a natural force, such as the weather, wilderness, or a natural disaster.
Character Vs Nature
Conflict that occurs when a character struggles with their own emotions, beliefs, desires, or fears.
Character Vs. Self
Conflict that occurs when a character in a story rebels against the expectations of their society, such as its laws, norms, or government.
Character VS. Society
Literary device that creates tension and drives the narrative forward in a story.
