Sepal
Sepals are green leaf-like structures around the base of the petals, they protect the bud.
Style
In the pistil a female part
Ovary
Inside the ovary are the ovules, where the specialized female sex cells, the eggs, are.
Stamen
The male parts of a flower are called the stamens.
Anther
The anthers are where thousands of pollen grains form.
Pollination
There are two different kinds of pollination self pollination [when a plant pollinates itself] and cross pollination [when a plant gets pollen from the stigma of another plant]
Sexual Reproduction
Sexual reproduction creates offspring that are different from both of there parents
Perfect flower
Has BOTH male AND female reproductive parts.
Imperfect flower
Has only one type of reproductive part, male OR female.
Petal
The most visible and showy parts of a flower are called the petals.
Stigma
Sticky thing on top of style that holds pollen
Ovule
Ovules are inside the ovary
Filament
In the stamen and it holds up the anther
Pollen
Inside each pollen grain is the specialized male sex cell, the sperm.
Fertilization
Fertilization is when a seed is fertilized then reproduction Occurs
