Example: Listening to music, poetry, stories, or speeches that make you feel something.
What is Empathic Listening?
Empathic listening is a compassionate process where the listener takes the time to truly listen, expressing care for the speaker’s views and feelings.
What is Comprehensive Listening?
Comprehensive listening is when the listener focuses on understanding and comprehending the message being communicated. It requires active listening.
Example: Taking notes during a lecture or listening carefully while asking for directions.
What is Analytical Listening?
Analytical listening involves evaluating and analyzing the content of the message. The listener critically examines the message and evaluates the relationship between the ideas communicated.
