According to WCF 20.1, what do the sacraments signify?
- for substance, the same with those of the new
- represent God and his benefits; and to confirm our interest in him: as also, to put a visible difference between those that belong unto the Church and rest of the world; and solemnly to engage them to the service of God in Christ, according to his Word.

Sacraments and service
1. Baptism is our entrance into service

2. The Lord’s Supper is our sustenance for service

b. How does it feed us?
i. It calls us to continually remember
ii. We never outgrow the cross
iii. As we enjoy the blessings given to us, we remember (Deut 8)
c. God has given us, in his grace, the Lord’s Supper
Baptism is a perpetual reminder of the call to bring heaven to earth, to prepare people to be a priestly nation
The Lord’s Supper is a reminder for never outgrowing the cross and gives us a foretaste of heaven
