What is Raster Scan technique?
Searching large open areas
Takes a long time
Integrity vs speed
Easy to become disorientated

What acronym do we use to ‘think like the enemy’?
CLEWS

What acronym do we use for counter IED?
IRCAGE
IR - use IR sensor, may give evidence of earth disturbance
C - choke points/channelling, may be forced to go in
A - aiming markers, look for Pile of Stones etc
G - ground disturbance, may show a different thermal temp
E- environmental - routes avoided by locals, known IED activity
