A

Food - imported from abroad which uses a lot of energy in transport and packaging

Energy - for heating, washing, cooking etc

Transport - people prefer to own cars rather than use public transport

Waste - expensive and difficult to dispose of

Other factors include : expensive infrastructures, development of technologies such as air conditioning , wealthy citizens having frequent holidays - often overseas
