culturally defined.
Symbols
When something represents abstract
ideas or concepts. It assigns names,
denominations, and defines relations between various elements articulated within a narrative.
Symbolism
manifestations that signify the ideology of a particular culture that has meaning within
that culture. Some examples of cultural
symbols are objects, figures, sounds, and
colors. It can also be a form of facial
expressions, gestures (eg. handshake) and
others.
Cultural symbols
Anything related to human and societies and
its mode of organization such as social classes, social problems, social issues. These may also
include visible, external denotation of one’s
social position and indicator of one’s
economic status.
Social symbols
Used to represent a political standpoint that may be seen in various media and forms such as banners, flag, motto and others
Political symbols
Used in production, distribution and
consumption of goods and services like
currency, market, labor, demands, and other economic activities
