Lesson 304 Flashcards
MATS ACC > Flight Information > Information Service > Flight Hazards
If information is available, inform pilots when their aircraft has entered, or is about to enter, active Class F airspace or airspace restricted by NOTAM.
ⓘ ⓘ All Class F airspace is defined in the Designated Airspace Handbook and is published on aeronautical charts. Restricted airspace may also be designated by NOTAM to ensure safety of flight during situations such as forest fires, well fires, or natural disaster.

MATS ACC > Separation > Separation from Special-Use Airspace
Within controlled airspace, apply vertical or lateral separation between an aircraft and the outer edge of the following airspaces: ■ ■ : — — —
ⓘ Class F Restricted airspace includes Danger Areas (CYDs).
ⓘ The DAH states the times that a Restricted or Advisory area is active. A user agency may release an area in part or in total when not in use to a controlling agency (joint use). In such cases, ATC may advise the aircraft that the airspace is inactive and issue a clearance. Such arrangements for release should be contained in an agreement between the user and controlling agencies. Areas released for use by ATC assume the same airspace classification as the surrounding airspace.
■ Airspace restricted by the Minister
■ Class F airspace ⓘⓘ, unless one of the following applies:
— The aircraft is operating on an ALTRV APVL.
— The pilot states having obtained permission from the user agency to enter the area.
— The pilot has been cleared for a contact or visual approach.
MATS ACC > Separation > Separation from Special-Use Airspace > Class F Advisory Airspace > Vertical Separation
The minimum vertical separation from Class F Advisory airspace is _______. If _____________ separation is required, the minimum vertical separation is ________.
