Magellan’s Contribution to the World History
The expedition was regarded as the greatest of all expeditions made by man.
• The expedition proved that the earth was round and not flat.
• The expedition also proved that the largest ocean in the world was the Pacific Ocean.
• This journey also paved the way for the conquest of the Philippine archipelago.
• Conversion of the Filipinos to Christianity.
