Q

2 groups of organs

A

Soma and viscera

Soma: outside protecting inside. E.g skin, tissue and bones. Officially motor apparatus and the skin form body proper soma. Forms the walls of bodys cavities (internal organs)

Viscera: internal organs that are protected. Contents of body’s cavities e.g
Digestive organs
Respiratory organs
Urinary organs
Reproductive organs

Modern anatomy

Topographic or regional anatomy

Dynamic anatomy
Functional anatomy of bla motor apparatus

Plastic anatomy
External form

Normal anatomy
Studies normal healthy body

Pathological anatomy
Studies sick organism & change in organs

X-ray anatomy

A

Studying human body’s forms without regards to its function

Generalise facts of body structures
Find regularities governing the structure of the human body

Topographic or regional anatomy
- Studies the spatial relationships of the organs in the different body regjons

**Planum frontale
**

**Planum horizontale

17
Q

Difference between axis and planes

A

All body movements occur in different planes and around different axes. A plane is an imaginary flat surface running through the body. An axis is an imaginary line at right angles to the plane, about which the body rotates or spins.
