Relation
the way two or more things are connected; relationship between sets of numbers or data
Function
relation that has exactly one output for any specific input
Input
data/value put in to receive an answer/response (output)
Output
one answer/result in response to data/value put in
Domain
set of all possible values that can be “inputs”; The input or values that you could put into an expression or equation.
Range
set of all values that can be “outputs”; The output or possible values you could get as a result from an expression or equation.
Coefficients
number placed before the variable that is multiplied by the variable
Terms
a number, a variable, or those multiplied together, and each term is separated by a + or − in an expression
Expression
connects numbers and/or variables with operations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Quantities
measured properties
Variable
something that can vary or change
Determine
to decide
Interpret
figure out the meaning or understand
Context
specific situation or circumstances you’re given the problem in
