Low-tech method of irrigating crops.
Collect water in a bucket and pour it onto the fields
Flood (furrow) Irrigation
Farmers are using leveling equipment, some are guided by a laser beam, to scrape a field flat before planting
Leveling of fields
Water is released at prearranged intervals
Surge flooding
Farmers can capture the runoff in ponds and pump it back up to the front of the field where it is reused for the next cycle of irrigation
Capture and reuse of runoff
Water is sent through plastic pipes
Drip irrigation
System is similar to the way you might water your lawn at home- hose and spray the water out in all direction
Spray irrigation
