What is genocide
the deliberate killing or harming of a national, ethnic, racial or religious group with the intent to destroy it

Classification
political extremists create a division between the people based onr ace, religion, etc and blame them for society’s problems
Symbolisation
members of the hated group are forced to wear a symbol to distingush them
Discrimination
the marginalised group has its rights and priveliges taken away
Dehumanisation
the targeted group is reduced to the same status as animals
Organisation
people in large mobs are sent to attack the marginalised group
Polarisation
everyone is forced to take a side
Preparation
mass murder is planned
Persecution
marginalisaed group is harassed, deisplaced or abused
Extermination
mass killing of the hated group
Denial
those responsible for the genocide deny their crimes, destory evidence and blame the victims
