It is the process of any change in the position of the body or a body parts in space, ranging from the ever-so-slight, such as the involuntary blink of an eye, to the most strenuous of vigorous whole-body activities, like sprinting.
MOVEMENT
It is the basic body movement that serve as the foundation building blocks upon whick more complicated physical movement are built.
FUNDAMENTAL BODY MOVEMENTS
It is categorized as either even or uneven movements
LOCOMOTOR MOVEMENTS
It is Equal, unvarying actions
EVEN RHYTHM
It is Unequal actions, also incorporate alternating movements
UNEVEN RHYTHM
It occurs when you launch yourself into the air using one foot and land on both feet
JUMPING
It is when a person moves slowly or quickly with both feet off the ground at the same time.
RUNNING
It is when you take off and land on the same foot and you are momentarily airborne
HOPPING
It is when you slide sideways with one foot, then run to the other foot beside the first
SLIDING
This requires you to takeoff from one foot and land on the other foot.
LEAPING
It is a combination of a walking and a hop
SKIPPING
It is a forward slide stepping-step forward and bring the other back foot to front foot.
GALLOPING
Occurs when the body moves in place around the spine or axis of the body. They are anchored movements and are also called axial movements.
NON-LOCOMOTOR MOVEMENTS
Moving the muscles around a joint where two body parts meet
BENDING or FLEXING
Done by strengthening or extending any parts of the body from the joint.
