Micchādițțhikassa, bhikkhave, anuppannā c’eva akusalā dhammā uppajjanti, uppannā ca akusalā dhammā vepullāya saṃvattantīti.

For a person with wrong view, oh monks, unarisen unwholesome mental states arise and also arisen unwolesome mental states grow to fullness.

Monks, I don not percieve any single mental state by which non-arisen wholesome mental states arise or arisen wholesome mental states decrease other than that of wrong view. For a person with wrong view, monks, non-arisen wholesome mental states do not arise and indeed wholesome mental states decrease.

A monk generates desire, endeavors, begins effort, uplifts his mind, and strives
for the non-arising of non-existing wicked and unskillful mental states.
