Lesseon 1 Flashcards
What is the rule of point prevalence?
Number of cases in a defined population at one point in time devided by number of persons in a defined population at the same point in time
What is the rule of period prevalence?
Number of new and preexisting cases over specified period deviated by total population in the specified period
Exercise (period)
In a survey of 1,150 women who gave birth in maine in 2000 , a total 468 reported taking a multivitamin at least 4 times a week during the month before becoming pregnant. Calculate the prevalence of frequent multivitamin use in this group
Answer:
Numerator = 468
Denominator = 1,150
Prevalence = (468/1,150)100 =0.407100=40.7%
What is the rule of Cumulative incidence?
Number of new cases of disease (outcome) devided by number of people in source population at risk in the start of the study
And when we say at risk we mean that the people that were exposed to the exposure
What is the rule of incidence rate ?
Number of new cases of disease in a given time period devided by total number of persons-time at risk during the study
When we say Persons-time at risk we mean by that the time from the beginning of their observation until one of three tings occurs
1-development the outcome of intrest
2-the individual becomes lost follow up or dies
3-the study end
You want example about cumulative incidence?
Me too, now fuck off and open the picture you will find it in the favorite one
You think we are done with questions?
HAHAHAHAHAH, now again fuck off to the favorite picture.
Flip the card. Just do it
Another question dumbass
Rule of Odd of disease
Number of new cases of disease arising in a defined populations over a given periods of time devided by ,number of people in that population who remain disease — free during that periods.
Rule of risk?
Number of new casew of disease arising in defined population over a given period of time devided by number of disease free people in that population at the beginning of that time period
A secondary attack rate rule
Number of cases among contacts of primary cases devided by total number of contacts multiplied by one hundred percent
What is the rule of sensitivity?
True positive devided by true positive plus false negative
What is the rule of specificity?
True negative devided by true negative plus false positive
Check the example of teen smoking in page number 2 or 3
If its hard do it hard and if it easy do it easy just get it done
What is the rule of Predictive value positive?
True positive devided by true positive plus false positive
