Piece or pieces of optical glass shaped to focus an image of a subject.

A
The distance from the lens to the focal plane when the lens is focused on infinity. Longer focal length = shallow depth of field; Closer to subject = less depth of field.

The more sensitive it is to light, and the more grain will result on the film.

The ISO/ASA is the number type of film that determines the sensitivity of light. 200/400 ISO is moderate.
